Acquisition adds NOK 20 million revenue
Simtronics ASA, the fire and gas safety company, today announced the acquisition of Technor Safe Ex AS' active fire fighting system division. The acquisition improves Simtronics position in the highly attractive offshore and maritime services markets.
[14.03.2008]Simtronics ASA acquires all assets related to the active fire fighting systems division in Technor Safe Ex AS, for a total of NOK 4.5 million. Simtronics has already prepared for manufacturing and assembly facilities, as well as warehouse, in connection with the existing Simtronics facilities in Stavanger.
The acquisition is part of Simtronics' strategy to become a leading supplier of systems for fire and gas safety, and will add in excess of NOK 20 million on the Company's revenue going forward.
Through the acquisition, Simtronics will:
- Improve its position in the offshore and maritime services markets, hallmarked by a number of smaller yet highly attractive contracts
- Improve its market penetration in the fire fighting market
- Enter the Norwegian market for land based construction and manufacturing industry
- Get access to a nationwide distribution network
Technor Safe Ex AS' active fire fighting division supplies environmentally friendly and safe fire fighting systems for the maritime, offshore and onshore markets. The Stavanger based company had sales of NOK 21 million in 2007 - with attractive and increasing margins.
Simtronics has during January and February 2008 finalized two acquisitions; Fire Eater A/S and ETech Process AS, which will double Simtronics revenue going forward and significantly improve the Company's market position.
